This would be to small for you.
Here is a site with some information on different size frames, cranks etc.http://www.roadrunnerbmx.org/13596.html?*session*id*key*=*session*id*val*
Bmx frames are measured different to that of mountain-, and road-bikes. On BMX frames the length is taken from the center of the head-tube to the center of the 'seat-tube' ( basically crossbar or top-tube length )
Also you might want to consider wether you would like to race with 20inch or 24inch wheels ( the 24" class is called cruiser ). Cruiser might be an easier transition for you as the wheel size is the same as most 4X bikes ( am I right ? ) My son is 14 now and started racing cruiser last year. The decision to race cruiser was based basically on the fact that the 14/ 15yr age group in 20inch is a lot larger and therefore competatively more daunting. I know he enjoys racing cruiser now more than if he would of started out on a 20" and coming nowhere in his motos but he also hasn't had a MTB racing background like yourself.
You can always message me or leave a post on the discussions board if you need further information.
How much are you looking to spend on a bike as there are so many options out there for every budget.
Welcome to the BMX community!!
Tim.

do you know any websites that sell 20 inch bmx's and thanks for all the help its been really helpfull Hi You'll find just the sort of websites you need on the "Links" page on our club's website (this site is just the messageboard). Look under "Shops"... www.mkbmx.com/links.htmlAll the BMX suppliers listed there are good and will help you with advice. Sorry if this is stating the obvious, but if you're new to this make sure you're looking at RACE bikes (these have aluminium frames with longer top tubes, lighter components, race tyres, rear brake only, and no stunt pegs or gyros). See ya!
